 In 1985, Designed for You was started with a couple dozen
tee shirts, a few bottles of fabric dye, brushes, paint, and
the imagination of a very talented artist working on her
screened in back porch.
Such was how Deborah Burnham began to fulfill her
lifelong dream of designing clothing that women look good
in. From age 4,
through her studies at Bauder College in Atlanta, to
the present, Deborah has nurtured her talent and stayed
incredibly focused on her goals.
Starting off doing only local shows and a nearby mall
during holiday seasons, she never lost sight of her vision
for her business.
 Today,
with the help of her husband Dave, who joined the company in
1995, and brought with him over 20 years experience in sales
and marketing, Deborah and Dave produce and retail several
thousand pieces of clothing a year.
The screened in back porch is now a 500 square foot
studio with glass walls on three sides for plenty of natural
light. In
addition to the 40 plus crafts fairs they do annually in New
England, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, and
Pennsylvania. Designed For You also sells their clothing at the Eastern
States Exposition 17 day show in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
In April of 1999, Designed for you began operation of
their own website at www.designedforyou.com.
 All of Deborah’s
designs are original and the product of her own talent and
creativity. She
currently holds over 40 copyrights.
All garments are individually hand painted using only
the highest quality dye and fabric paint.
Each piece is truly an original work of art and comes
